Individual Therapy
My Approach with Inviduals
As an anxious people pleaser, your fear of disappointing others can feel overwhelming, trapping you in a cycle of stress and exhaustion. By working individually, we can shift the focus from being about others’ needs, and instead focus on what you hope to achieve. Together, we will discover practical strategies tailored specifically to ease your anxiety while setting healthy boundaries, so you can reclaim your peace without guilt. I am here to work alongside you to help you better understand your struggles and empower you to trust yourself to make changes on your own terms.
I will provide a safe and confidential space to support you through any difficulties you may have. Individual therapy can be long term or short term, and is based on your needs, which can depend on many factors. As we work together you may find it easier to implement strategies and tools practiced in therapy on your own outside of our sessions.
I want to help you feel comfortable to go at your own pace. It is a privilege for you to allow me to be a part of your journey toward healing. I am actively in therapy as well, so I can address my own relational traumas and understand what the experience is like on the other side for my clients.
If you are feeling ready to take the first step, I encourage you to reach out! See more about how I work and what to expect in the FAQ.

Individual therapy can be helpful for anyone who wants to better understand themselves, feel more emotionally balanced, or make meaningful changes in their life.
You might benefit from therapy if:
• You often feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck in your head
• You’re constantly people-pleasing or putting others’ needs before yours
• You struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, or fear of failure
• You’re navigating a life transition, relationship issue, or career stress
• You feel burned out, disconnected, or unsure of who you are
• You want a space to process past experiences or unhelpful patterns
• You’re simply ready to prioritize your mental and emotional well-being
You don’t need to be in crisis to start therapy and you don’t have to have it all figured out before you begin. Therapy is a space to explore, grow, and heal at your own pace, with support every step of the way.

Each session is 50-minutes and can look different week by week. Sometimes that means unpacking something heavy that has been on your mind. Other times, it’s exploring patterns or building new coping tools. You get to set the pace, and I will provide the support and structure.

Some people come for short-term support around a specific issue; others might stay longer for deeper work. There’s no pressure or timeline for the work we will do. I will check in along the way and adjust our sessions based on your goals and comfort. Throughout our time together, you may always pause therapy and resume at any point you feel is needed.

Therapy is not about me giving you advice or my opinions. This is because it is actually more beneficial for you to come to your own conclusions about what is best for you. My role is to support or guide you to those insights you may not have reached by exploring on your own. I will do this by asking you questions to challenge your perspective, point behaviors out to you that you want to change, all with the goal to help increase your awareness to make the changes you desire.

That is perfectly fine! Starting therapy is a vulnerable and brave step. I’ll meet you with warmth, without judgment, and we’ll move at a pace that feels safe. You don’t have to come in “ready” in any way. It is okay if you are not sure where to begin because I can help provide that structure for you as we go. It is important to note that a lot of times talking through your feelings and thoughts can help you shift a perspective and be therapeutic in itself.
